Hendrix Park Heat Gary Walker’s 12U Hendrix Park Heat softball team placed third in the Ultimate Fastpitch Tournament held at Hendrix Park on June 20 – June 21. There were five other teams in this division: Team Fury, Effingham All-stars, Liberty County All-stars, Shox and the Beaufort Bombers. It was a double elimination tournament. Steptoe fired rounds of 75-78 to win by four strokes over Hollywood native Michael Wolf. With the victory, Tyler receives an automatic bid to the tour championship of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour in Tampa, Florida. |
