A plea for help for disbaled veterans Editor, There are 500,000 disabled veterans nationwide, 16,000 of whom are Georgians who are eligible for the VA’s Independent Living Program, which is one of the five tracks of the voc rehab benefit for the most severely disabled veterans. Yet in the past five years, fewer than 250 of Georgia’s disabled veterans have realized the benefit. |
