NASA and Carver Elementary video
Carver Elementary students participated in a live videoconference with NASA on Friday. Students packed the auditorium and were able to communicate live with NASA employees at the Kennedy Space Center in Cocoa Beach, Fla. NASA has loaned Carver some of the technology equipment to do this session, which will also allow for other live sessions for classes via the Distance Learning Network program. Future projects with NASA are being planned in which Carver teachers will go over a specific topic and have a scientist, astronaut or other NASA specialist there to do the experiment and teach parts of the lesson and answers questions first hand.
