Coach Marquez's U14G team defeated the Charlotte Soccer Academy Samba 1-0 and then defeated its sister team, the Charlotte Soccer Academy Mundial 2-0 on Saturday. On Sunday, the team handled WCWAA 4-0 in the semi-finals. In the finals match, the lady Comets upset the Charlotte Soccer Academy Gazelle 3-0 for their champion's medals.
Richmond Hill High School beat Ware County 49-30 on Tuesday night in a Region 3-AAAAA contest. The Wildcats got 11 points from Wallace Smith and 10 from Jeremiah Hill. Richmond Hill led 17-13 at halftime.
