Richmond Hill beats Jenkins 42-28

By Jeff Whitten Richmond Hill overcame a turnover prone first half to beat Jenkins 42-28 on Friday in a nonregion match up. The win improved the Wildcats to 3-0, apparently the team's best start since 1996. That year, Richmond Hill finished 9-4 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs. Like you, I tend to start really missing college football about this time of year. It's almost enough to make me a fan of The Sun Belt conference. Troy State versus Western Kentucky, anyone? Oh, wait. Troy dropped the State from its moniker. It's now Troy University. I understand why. Last time I checked, not one of the 50 states in the U.S. was called Troy.

The 2013 Mudhens of the South Bryan County Recreation Department went 15-0 in the Coastal Little League Minors Division this season. The team consists of Jackson Cantele, Jacob Wood, Justin Pollock, Matthew Reed, Zachary Frantz, Anthony Allen, Jack Messinger, Camden Bunker, Jeremy Smith, Quincy Kent and Xavier Alicea.
