Georgia Game Changers and the Coastal YMCA are hosting a three-day running camp for teens beginning Monday at the Richmond Hill YMCA. The camp is for kids ages 13-18 and will be from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. For more information call the YMCA at 756-5856.
The Hendrix Park 12U All-Stars are headed to the state Georgia Recreation and Parks Association championship tournament in Berrien County next weekend. The team finished second to Jeff Davis after falling 13-11 in extra innings in what coaches said was a long, hardfought battle. High caliber wrestlers from Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Florida attended Arturo Holmes' The Wresting Center Camp Tuesday at Richmond Hill High School. The 46 participants were coached by Arturo Holmes, who puts on clinics like this one across the nation, according to RHHS wrestling coach Bob Parker, who says the school is "fortunate to have him here." Parker thanked Richmond Hill youth wrestling coach Dan Krug and the Director of South Bryan County Recreation Kay Green for helping put the camp together.
The South Bryan County Recreation Department's 8U team has advanced to the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association state tournament after finishing second in the District 2 tourney. The state tourney is July 9-12 in Sylvania.

Richmond Hill's local running company, Georgia Game Changers is encouraging runners and walkers to join them in supporting the Richmond Hill JROTC Battalion, for their 3rdAnnual Richmond Hill Resolution Runz, this Saturday, January 17th at JF Gregory Park. This year, there will be two races-a 5K and a 10K race. The races will start at 9:00 am, on Saturday, January 17th.
