Walker, Williams two of 2011's top stories

Among the year's top performances in 2011 was that turned in by Richmond Hill High School senior Shaquille Walker. Walker, now at Brigham Young University on a track and field scholarship, won his second consecutive state 800 title in May at the boys' state Class AAAA track meet in Jefferson. In 2010, Walker won the 800 in Class AAA. But he wasn't the only one to make a splash at the state track meet. Wildcats fall short

The Richmond Hill Wildcats hosted the Effingham County Rebels Friday and got sucker punched 24-20 en route to their third consecutive loss. The Wildcats nearly pulled out a win on a 92-yard drive late in the 4th quarter but came up three yards short of the winning touchdown as time expired on the clock.
