Dec. 6: Opening lighting ceremony & Chili Cook-Off - The city of Richmond Hill will kick off the season with the lighting of the holiday lights and sampling award-winning chili from local chefs from 6:30-9 p.m. in J.F. Gregory Park. Cook-off booths will be filled with chili chefs and craft vendors. Cash awards are given to the best-tasting chili in town. Enjoy a variety of food, entertainment and more.

Fish Tales is staple in community

Around five years ago, Butch and Sherri Broome bought the little restaurant at the marina. Now, Fish Tales Restaurant at Fort McAllister Marina has become a successful and popular spot among Richmond Hill residents and visitors – even being awarded Business of the Year from the Richmond Hill-Bryan County Chamber of Commerce this year.

The city of Richmond Hill celebrated Independence Day last Saturday with live entertainment, water rides for children, vendors, fireworks and more. Thousands of community members came out to J.F.
