Midnight Star Pottery in Richmond Hill is an interactive pottery studio where customers can paint pottery pieces, sculpt pottery, paint canvases, tie dye T-shirts or fuse glass together. The pottery studio's new owner, Linda Lennane, is looking forward to hosting summer camps and classes for children. These photos of earlier classes were provided.

The Rotary Club of Richmond Hill hosted a beach-themed fundraiser Saturday, complete with beach towels, beach balls and vases filled with sand as decorations. Guests enjoyed dancing, drinks with little umbrella garnishes, food and classic music.

Feb. 5: 13th annual New Beginning Youth Art Exhibit - As part of the Black Heritage Festival, the city of Savannah Department of Cultural Affairs hosts this annual Links-sponsored exhibit. Local middle and high school students have entered works based on the 2014 theme, "Dare to Dream; Create a Legacy." The opening reception will start at 6:30 p.m., where prizes will be announced. The Richmond Hill Garden Club hosted its annual Pumpkin Patch at J.F. Gregory Park Saturday, garnering what may have been the best turnout yet.
