Urgent Care Center celebrates 5 years

Last month marked the Urgent Care Center of Richmond Hill's five year anniversary. Owners and partners Dr. Robert Mazur and physician assistants Catherine Grant and Lori Gaylor opened the facility in 2009 after seeing a need in the community.

Fish Tales is staple in community

Around five years ago, Butch and Sherri Broome bought the little restaurant at the marina. Now, Fish Tales Restaurant at Fort McAllister Marina has become a successful and popular spot among Richmond Hill residents and visitors – even being awarded Business of the Year from the Richmond Hill-Bryan County Chamber of Commerce this year.

Children and their families came out to The Ice Cream Stop's Movie Night Under the Stars Saturday to see the movie "Marmaduke." Many of the families enjoyed a tasty treat from the ice cream shop. The store hosts a movie night every Friday and Saturday, weather permitting.Tiffany Stroud captured some of the people who attended in her camera.

For the fifth year in a row, the city of Richmond Hill is being recognized for its initiatives in creating a community that allows children to get balanced and active play in a safe environment. Richmond Hill has been named a 2014 Playful City USA honoree by KaBOOM! and the Humana Foundation.

The city of Richmond Hill celebrated Independence Day last Saturday with live entertainment, water rides for children, vendors, fireworks and more. Thousands of community members came out to J.F. Gregory Park to enjoy music by "The Tams" and celebrate America. Tiffany Stroud was among them with her camera to document the festivities.
