RH Garden Club honors yard

Girl scouts help spread Christmas cheer

Members of Girl Scouts Junior Troop 30370, part of the Cedar Service Unit in Richmond Hill, stopped by the Bryan County Service Center in Richmond Hill on Monday to help Bryan County Family Connection Director Wendy Sims sort through and bag Christmas gifts for less fortunate local families as part of the Bryan County Children's Fund. The Girl Scouts also donated various gifts to the cause.

Fish Tales is staple in community

Around five years ago, Butch and Sherri Broome bought the little restaurant at the marina. Now, Fish Tales Restaurant at Fort McAllister Marina has become a successful and popular spot among Richmond Hill residents and visitors – even being awarded Business of the Year from the Richmond Hill-Bryan County Chamber of Commerce this year.

Children and their families came out to The Ice Cream Stop's Movie Night Under the Stars Saturday to see the movie "Marmaduke." Many of the families enjoyed a tasty treat from the ice cream shop. The city of Richmond Hill celebrated Independence Day last Saturday with live entertainment, water rides for children, vendors, fireworks and more. Thousands of community members came out to J.F. Gregory Park to enjoy music by "The Tams" and celebrate America. Tiffany Stroud was among them with her camera to document the festivities.
