Garden club picks yard of month

Scott and Kathy Schell's yard, located in the Shadow Moss subdivision, was chosen at Yard of the Month for April by the Richmond Hill Garden Club. Schell and his wife, Kathy, also received a gift certificate from Tim and Dave's Nursery as part of the honor.

The Richmond Hill Garden Club chose this yard at 45 Dunham Marsh Parkway as its Yard of the Month for March. The landscaping was designed and planted by owners Derek and Amanda Pommerenck, who received a donated gift certificate to Tim and Dave's Nursery.

Fish Tales is staple in community

Around five years ago, Butch and Sherri Broome bought the little restaurant at the marina. Now, Fish Tales Restaurant at Fort McAllister Marina has become a successful and popular spot among Richmond Hill residents and visitors – even being awarded Business of the Year from the Richmond Hill-Bryan County Chamber of Commerce this year.

Children and their families came out to The Ice Cream Stop's Movie Night Under the Stars Saturday to see the movie "Marmaduke." Many of the families enjoyed a tasty treat from the ice cream shop. The store hosts a movie night every Friday and Saturday, weather permitting.Tiffany Stroud captured some of the people who attended in her camera.
