ATLANTA - The Historic Preservation Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources is holding its fourth annual online photo contest to coincide with Preservation Month in May. This year's theme is "The Civil War in Georgia."
Fundraiser digs up bonus for dog park
Supporters for the Bryan County Bark Park in Richmond Hill flocked to Marker 107 in Kilkenny Thursday night for a wine and cheese fundraiser to donate money needed to begin work on the proposed 1.5-acre dog park in DeVaul Henderson Park.

Kids get closeto wildlife at market
Children gather Tuesday around local wildlife expert "Trapper Jack" Douglas to pet an alligator at the Richmond Hill Farmers Market in J.F. Gregory Park. Lodge donates to Salvation Army
Bryan Lodge No. 303 of Richmond Hill raised more than $500 to benefit the Salvation Army during its yard sale and pancake breakfast in March.
