The Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival continues to build on its tradition of serving up mouthwatering seafood and a veritable smorgasbord of fun. A celebrated and much-anticipated event, the festival is now in its 12th year and promises to be a highlight of 2010.

The 2010 U.S. Army Soldier Show performers dazzled audiences Tuesday and Wednesday at Fort Stewart's Newman Fitness Center. The show, themed "Soldier Show v.27.0," recently celebrated its 27th year of entertaining soldiers and families. What the fans don't see, however, are the countless hours and hard work that go into making the production a success.
Downtown Hinesville will come alive Oct. 15-16 with an authentic German celebration known as OktoberFest. This year marks the 200th anniversary of the original Oktoberfest, which started as a royal Bavarian wedding in 1810.
