Richmond Hill Community Theatre and What's the Scoop Café will host a murder/mystery dinner theater, "Murder, Medium-Rare," by Eileen Moushey, March 9 and 11 at What's the Scoop Café in Richmond Hill.

Fort McAllister State Historic Park will have a candle lantern tour from 7-8 p.m. Saturday. There also will be cannon firings and musket demonstrations all day long. Visitors who tour the fort by candlelight will see Civil War soldiers going about their nightly duties. Participants are asked to stay with their tour guides or they may be captured as a spy. Please do not bring flashlights.

The Liberty Theatre Company, in conjunction with the Hinesville Area Arts Council, will debut its original production, "Pieces of Home," on March 12 at the Liberty Performing Arts Center in Flemington. Brian Rothwell, a longtime teacher at Bradwell Institute, and Jennifer Buehler, who most recently starred in the company's "Steel Magnolias," will direct the play.

"Fury" is a World War II movie that provides a sense of intense, visceral violence and a semblance of authenticity that probably hasn't been seen since "Saving Private Ryan." I think this movie could be for WWII what Platoon was for Vietnam.
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, "The Judge" is a fine example of a movie that features a likable cast and it's solidly made throughout, but it ultimately falls short of its loftier ambitions.
