Tour Civil War fort by candlelight

Fort McAllister State Historic Park will have a candle lantern tour from 7-8 p.m. Saturday. There also will be cannon firings and musket demonstrations all day long. Visitors who tour the fort by candlelight will see Civil War soldiers going about their nightly duties. Participants are asked to stay with their tour guides or they may be captured as a spy. Play based on WWII letters from Stewart soldiers

The Liberty Theatre Company, in conjunction with the Hinesville Area Arts Council, will debut its original production, "Pieces of Home," on March 12 at the Liberty Performing Arts Center in Flemington.
