Bamboo Garden ready for spring sale

SAVANNAH - Each year, a group of local master gardeners spends the cold days of winter and early spring growing a variety of plants in the greenhouse at Bamboo Farm and Coastal Gardens, preparing for the annual spring plant sale. This year's sale is from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 3, and will include native perennials such as boltonia, pink muhly grass, little bluestem, purple coneflower, phlox and white-flowered Joe Pye weed.

Pembroke sets Easter egg hunt

The City of Pembroke will host its annual Egg-Stravaganza on Saturday, April 3, from 10 a.m. until noon at the City Park located on Lanier Street behind the courthouse. All kids under 12 years of age is invited. The event will include goodies for the kids, a jelly bean counting contest, prizes, a visit from the Easter bunny, and of course, the Big Easter Egg Hunt! Tybee planning 'Last Song' debut party

TYBEE ISLAND - The small Savannah beach community of Tybee Island is gearing up for its big screen debut on March 31 in "The Last Song" starring Miley Cyrus, Greg Kinnear and Kelly Preston. This Disney/Touchstone major motion picture was filmed on Tybee Island during the summer of 2009.
