Art 'held hostage' at old jail museum

The students of Waldo Pafford Elementary School and their art teacher, Carol Ann Hough, recently were found guilty of creating awesome art. The students' artwork is currently being "held hostage" at the Old Liberty County Jail at 302 S. Main St. in downtown Hinesville. Students, parents and community members can visit the "Behind Bars" exhibit through May 14, from 10 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Historic homecoming open to public

Art on display at City Center

That's when Arts on the Coast will put on its Spring Arts Show at the Richmond Hill City Center, and it's where you'll see works such as "Pink Dogwood" by AOTC artist Ray Finis. Poetry reading at Armstrong Tuesday

The Poetry Society of Georgia 2009-10 Reading Series culminates at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 20 with a reading by poet Kelly Whiddon. The reading will be held at the Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences, 121 Barnard Street in Savannah. The cost is $10 for general audience and $5 for students with valid ID, minors under 18 and seniors.
