'In Time' is fun despite plot holes

"In Time," a new science-fiction thriller in theaters now, stars Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried ("Letters to Juliet," "Red Riding Hood") as a mismatched pair living in a future version of our world. Like many sci-fi flicks these days, you have to accept the premise of the movie right away or you'll be completely confused half the time.

'Mao's Last Dancer' has art overcome oppression

This week's film combines the elements of history, dance and a far-off land into one sweeping drama. The picture is called "Mao's Last Dancer," and I found it intriguing, marvelous to watch and very inspirational. Based upon the real-life autobiography of Chinese ballet dancer Li Cunxin, the film depicts one young man's journey from rural communist China to the stage of the Houston Ballet in the United States. I dare you to watch without a box of tissues.

Have You Seen This? Why you should hire an electrician

ELECTRICIAN SCHOOL — Thanks to Pinterest and HGTV we all think we’re expert DIY pros when it comes to our homes. Let’s just say the elevation change in my living room is enough to give you altitude sickness.

'Risk' video game doesn't improve much on classic board game

The board game Risk: The Game of Global Domination has been around for a long, long time — almost 60 years, in fact — making it a bona fide classic in most people’s books. So it’s understandable that this electronic version of the game from “Assassin’s Creed” publisher Ubisoft, which is available for PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, doesn’t mess with the basic formula.
