Garden club visits nursing home

The Pembroke Garden Club had its regular meeting in January at the Pembroke Community Center. The club also took flowers on Feb. 17 to residents of the nursing home in Claxton. Farmers Market starts Tuesday

The Richmond Hill Farmers Market gets under way Tuesday in J.F. Gregory Park. The market will be in action from 3-7 p.m. every Tuesday through mid-October. According to market manager Angus McLeod, there will be more than 40 vendors on opening day selling bread, produce, honey, seafood and more. The market will also include craft vendors.
