Pembroke Police Chief Mark Crowe and Ashley Tyson perform as the special guests Dec. 8 at the Pembroke Garden Club's Christmas luncheon. Club members enjoyed the Christmas carols and singing and thank Crowe and Tyson for sharing their voices.

Hospice Savannah Inc. recently served a young soldier, Staff Sgt. Jermaine Seabrook of the Warrior Transition Battalion's Bravo Company on Fort Stewart. For six months, Seabrook was cared for in his home and at Hospice House, where he died Sept. 2.

WaterWays Township celebrated its first holiday season Saturday with the inaugural Homes for the Holidays open house.
Henry Crummley of Ellabell won the American Legion Post 164's raffle for a $300 gift certificate to Southern Sportsman. Post members thank Southern Sportsman for their participation, as well as all who purchased tickets. Revenue from the raffle will help with expenses of the post home, which hosts Cub Pack 141 and the 4-H shooter program.

Christopher and Jody Meek of Black Creek received the September "Yard of the Month" award from the Pembroke Garden Club for their well-kept lawn and yard. Chris Meek, pictured with his commemorative "Yard of the Month" sign, said he and his wife both work on the yard to keep it looking sharp.
