Reindeer Games a success
Jill Beason was among those who attended the Richmond Hill Reindeer Games Saturday in the pavilion at J.F. Gregory Park. Beason lives in Savannah but works in Richmond Hill at David Donaldson CPA. She came to the park with her family despite the rainy weather.
St. Nick makes some early rounds

Gold Star Wives recognized nationally
Patricia Barbee will salute other women like her on Saturday. "I'm going to have my cup of tea and hoist it high," said the Gold Star Wife and North Bryan resident who, like thousands of other women across the country, lost her husband during wartime. Community unites for young cancer patient
Dylan Moore did not have any health problems until mid-October. That's when the 9-year-old Richmond Hill Elementary School student started having fevers and pain in his joints, according to his mother, Nancy Moore. Dylan went to the doctor and had his blood drawn. "And sure enough," Moore said, "they diagnosed him leukemia the next day." A 27-year-old holiday tradition will fill the streets of Pembroke all day Saturday. The Bryan County 4-H Club will host the 2010 Christmas in Pembroke at 9 a.m., Saturday in the parking lot under the stoplight on Hwy. 280 in downtown Pembroke. Ministry helps feed need families
Hattie Whitfield wants to help feed 100 families this month. Whitfield is the coordinator of Angel Food Ministries at a local host site in the Calvary Baptist Church in Richmond Hill. The nonprofit organization is based in Monroe, and it aims to supply families and people with low-cost, high-quality food. Exchange Club seeking WWII vets
The Exchange Club of Richmond Hill is planning a World War II Remembrance Program on May 22. The guest speaker will be Paul Grassey, a B-24 pilot with the 8th Air Force; having flown 13 combat missions during the war.
Bill supposed to help parks, communities
The recently signed Rural Tourism Protection Act helps Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites meet budget challenges and aids communities dependent on the tourism provided by the state's parks, historic sites or outdoor recreation areas within their communities, according to state Rep.
