Boy Scout leaders honored

Local Scout leaders were recognized April 24 at the Pembroke City Volunteer Appreciation Banquet. Bill Bodmer, Lonnie Dombrowsky, Kristie Dombrowsky, Donnette Marriott and Levi Marriott stand with Mayor Mary Warnell as they were honored for their work in revamping the city baseball field concession stand and dugouts. Over the past year, Cub Scout Pack 141 has worked diligently scraping, painting and putting up vinyl siding to help the city make the ballpark useable again. City representatives say they are overjoyed with the Scouts' work.
