Brocato says Wildcats’ goal is to “get on a roll” and stay there

Wildcat football head coach Brian Brocato isn't making any promises on whether or not the team will win more games this year. During last Wednesday's Richmond Hill Exchange Club meeting, he said any good coach would be foolish to make such a prediction.

Lady Wildcats open season in whirlwind fashion

The first week of the season has been a whirlwind for Jodi Reagan and her Lady Wildcat softball team. Six games in six days will take its toll on any team, especially in this south Georgia heat. To their credit, Richmond Hill finished the week strong in Brunswick with a hard fought 5-3 win.

Fall means football and more at rec level

The fall sports season is gearing up to kick off on both ends of the county. Children of all ages are about to fill both recreation fields for football, cheerleading and soccer. In addition, Richmond Hill will have baseball, softball, soccer and tennis.

Accelerated curve

With only three returning starters from last year, last year's starting pitching staff gone, and a new head coach, Jodi Regan figures 2007 to be a rebuilding year for the Lady Wildcats. A sloppy, error prone loss to Bryan County on opening day seemed to confirm it. But Coach Regan said her team had a good day of practice, and she made some minor adjustments to the line-up. She then stood back and watched her team roll over three teams at Paulson Complex in the annual 3-AAAAA invitational this past week-end.

Double Gobble grabs top 10 spot in FLW tourney

"Team McNeil/Double Gobble", made up of pro fishermen and Richmond Hill businessmen Ellis Phillips, Rodney Rogers, Steve Miller and Michael Hodges took seventh place in the FLW Wal-Mart Professional Kingfish Tour in Beaufort, S.C.

Lady Redskins squeak out win over Lady Wildcats

The Richmond Hill High School Lady Wildcats made the trek to Pembroke Thursday afternoon to face the Bryan County High School Lady Redskins in the annual cross-county softball game. The Skins beat the Cats in a close 3-2 contest.
