Technology at RHMS
History has shown that education has seen many changes over the course of time. These changes once took decades to occur. But today, changes in education are happening at a much quicker pace. Some of that change is due to technology. As technology continues to evolve, educational systems are faced with the challenge of preparing students to be technologically literate in a global society.

The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is designed to serve students who are at risk of not reaching or maintaining academic grade level. Richmond Hill High School senior Lauren Hall (pictured with Rotary President Robbie King) is the junior Rotarian of the month for March. She currently has a 3.96 GPA and ranks sixth in her class. Armstrong Atlantic State University's college of education will host a "Become a Teacher" information session from 6-7 p.m. June 18 at the Armstrong Center, 13040 Abercorn St. in Savannah.
Carver celebrates perfect attendance
G.W. Carver Elementary students Jessy Song and Gbolohan Sobowale won a raffle for two free bikes, donated by Joe Brannen of Horace Mann Insurance. The 25 students with perfect attendance for the 2012-13 school year were entered in the raffle and treated to a special ice cream sundae party on the last day of school. Each received a full-day pass to the Fun Zone Amusement Park in Pooler.
Students essay wins third place
SAVANNAH - Richmond Hill Middle School eighth-grader Avery Waters recently won third place in an area essay-writing contest on the theme of leadership skills required to succeed in school.
