EIP is making a difference
The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is designed to serve students who are at risk of not reaching or maintaining academic grade level. The EIP program provides additional instructional resources to help students obtain the necessary academic skills to reach grade level performance in the shortest time possible.
Hall wins Rotary award
Richmond Hill High School senior Lauren Hall (pictured with Rotary President Robbie King) is the junior Rotarian of the month for March. She currently has a 3.96 GPA and ranks sixth in her class. She plans to go to Georgia College and State in the fall, majoring in broadcasting. Graduation tests: One of the biggest events for RHHS seniors is just around the corner
School system preparing for 2009 fiscal year
The Bryan County School System has completed almost eight months of the current fiscal year. Unlike the city and county governments, the school system operates on a state fiscal year basis that runs July 1 through June 30. During the first seven months of the fiscal year, the school system has expended 58 percent of the budgeted expenditures and collected about 66 percent of the budgeted revenues.

Excelling at special education
The State of Georgia is monitored by the federal government on indicators of student performance through No Child Left Behind. Special Education is also monitored by annually reporting various data to the Department of Education in Atlanta, which compiles and forwards it to Washington, D.C. Students participate in a wide variety of activities throughout the school year most of which are related to the academic subjects including math, language arts, science and social studies. Some may not realize that special school-wide activities which may be viewed as "fun" activities for students are meeting academic guidelines and state standards as well.
