Ferreira wins Ivey Beardslee Scholarship
Georgia Southern University has awarded the first Paul and Ivey Beardslee Scholarship to Joseph Ferreira, a 2008 graduate of Bryan County High School . Ferreira, the son of Richard and Katherine Ferreira, will begin pre-business studies at Georgia Southern in the fall 2008 semester.

Carver Elementary School's current Assistant Principal Crystal Morales will be the principal starting this fall. Scholarship winners recognized
Richmond Hill High School recent graduates Ben Botelho and Katrina McCann were this year's recipients of the Rotary Club Jay Gardner scholarship. This bill enacted a state law modeled in part after the federal law entitled "Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972". ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 22, 2013 - Students, teachers and parents of the Defense Department's schools can be confident that despite the department's upcoming civilian furloughs, the school year will start on time, the Department of Defense Education Activity's director said today.
