Twenty-six students made it to the finals of the Carver Elementary 2007 Spelling Bee. After numerous rounds, it came down to two: Brian Cox and Katie Threatt (pictured above). After an exciting final round, Katie emerged the champion by correctly spelling the word "congregation". Katie will now advance to the upcoming county competition.

Students in Erin Warren's first-grade class at Lanier Primary School recently participated in "I Have a Dream Day" while learning about Martin Luther King Jr. and his life. The students learned about making goals for themselves and wrote an informational passage about their futures. They are looking forward to using technology to make a presentation explaining the details about their future careers.
