Let the Lord lead you to thankful life

Psalm 100 is the song of a thankful heart, a command to worship and serve this God, who made us by entering into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. These praises unto God must be sung from our lips and from the depths of our souls. We must praise the Lord in the place recognized by the world as His court and also within the gates of our secret lives. If there is no praise for our God, then surely our song will not be accepted.

Heed God's directions

In five days, many of us will be gathered around a table with family to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner. For my family, that will mean lots of loud talking and laughter and the consumption of more food than we ever should eat.

Stone movers wanted by God

"Jesus said, 'Take ye away the stone.' Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, 'Lord, by this time he stinketh, for he hath been dead four days.' Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, 'Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.'
