Tea on Sunday at Magnolia Manor

The United Methodist Women of Richmond Hill will have a "tea" at Magnolia Manor on Sunday, April 22 at 3 p.m. Featured speaker will be Diann Beasley, who is the Savannah District President of the UMW. This special day is the Call to Prayer and Self-Denial Sunday. It will be a salute to new members and to deaconesses of the United Church. Offering for the day will go to programs of concern for deaconesses.

I-95 exit in Richmond Hill to close for repairs

The Georgia Department of Transportation will temporarily close Interstate I-95 Southbound Exit Ramp 87 (US 17, Richmond Hill). The ramp will be closed for extensive maintenance repairs. The closure is scheduled to begin on Sunday, April 15th, beginning at 1:00 a.m. and extend until Thursday, April 19th at 6 a.m.

Bakery says pin likely put in bread after it left plant

Derst Baking Company President Paul Frankum said last week he's 99-percent certain a straight pin found last week by a Richmond Hill customer in a loaf of the company's bread was put there after it was made because "everything goes through a metal detector before it leaves the bakery."
