I-95 entrance ramp to be closed next week

The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced it will close the I-95 North entrance ramp at Hwy. 17 in Richmond Hill for maintenance work.

Third suspect arrested for alleged armed robbery

A third suspect, Basil Harper, was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of armed robbery stemming from the Aug. 10 armed robbery of two UPS truck drivers in the back parking lot of the Richmond Hill McDonald's on Hwy. 17.

Changes OK’d at dangerous Blitchton intersection

Changes to Cuyler Road in Blitchton were approved by the Bryan County Board of Commissioners at their monthly meeting on Aug. 7. The Department of Transportation has recommended the road be closed on the end that directly meets Hwy. 280, and have it rerouted to tie into Hwy. 80 at another location.
