Editor This is an open letter to the Bryan County Commissioners. I want to thank you first for allowing me to address your meeting and second for such a quick response to a potentially hazardous situation on the causeway in Mill Run. Editor: It is my belief that our public school system is the backbone of our community. A strong school enhances a sense of community pride and the place we call home. As of Tuesday, Jan. 16, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has not granted a permit to construct a new school on the parcel of land near the George Washington Carver School.
