They will build two new hotels and new retail space for the island. Following a request for proposal process, the board of directors approved the recommendations made by the Jekyll Island Authority evaluation committee, and project development agreements will be finalized with each company.
ATLANTA - State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said the Georgia Department of Labor will begin a series of workshops this week to help thousands of laid-off Georgia education employees transition into new careers.
