TheftJan. 27 – A "certified passion consultant" employed by Passion Parties, Inc., reported theft of several of her products. On the date of the report, she was having a Passion party at a home in Pembroke and said several items were missing when she went to leave. She said she didn't want to file charges but did want to make a report of the missing Passions items, which included creams, cologne and a couple Passion toys. The total theft was valued around $90.Simple battery

Man shot in Richmond Hill parking lot

A man was shot around 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the Suites at Station Exchange parking lot in Richmond Hill when he reportedly tried to thwart a vehicle break-in, according to Richmond Hill Police Department Chief Billy Reynolds Sr. The victim, who apparently had been trying to stop someone from burglarizing his pickup, is an employee of the Suites at Station Exchange, which is a residential community for senior citizens. He was airlifted to Memorial Health University Medical Center, and his condition is unknown.
