Take-back day helps dispose of prescription drugs

The U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Office of Diversion Control will hold "National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day" from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Unused or expired prescription medications can be dropped off locally that day at the Pembroke Police Department at 154 Railroad St.

Weather could still get 'nasty'

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch in Liberty and Long County until 4 p.m. today. An extreme band of bad weather is moving across the southeast. This band of storm has already killed at least 202 people in six states according to reports posted by the Associated Press and cnn.com.

The Richmond Hill Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating Timothy Jaskiewicz. He last was seen on Monday, Feb. 16, in the Richmond Hill area and may be driving a dark-red 2002 Toyota Tundra with the Florida tag BDZN21.
