The U.S. Marshal's office in Savannah joined in the search Friday for a Bryan County man police describe as "armed and dangerous" after he allegedly attacked a Pembroke resident with a butcher's knife and later stole a car from an Ellabell woman.
Pembroke Police are asking for help finding a 26-year-old man, who they consider armed and dangerous, in connection with a stabbing during an argument over a basketball game.
JACKSONVILLE - Bryan County Emergency Services was one of eight volunteer fire departments across Florida and Georgia to receive money from Rayonier Inc.

The Georgia State Patrol's Specialized Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the death of an Ellabell teen who was reportedly hit by a pickup Friday while walking on Eldora Road, the GSP said Tuesday.
The Georgia Department of Transportation is prepared for possible winter weather conditions Tuesday and Wednesday. The Department has ample personnel and resources located throughout the state and will pre-treat and treat roads throughout as conditions warrant.
An ice storm warning has been issued for 5 p.m. Tuesday to 5 p.m. Wednesday by the National Weather Service.

The Georgia Department of Public Health has confirmed the flu-related death of a woman in Chatham County.
Gov. Nathan Deal, Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and House Speaker David Ralston on Jan. 10 received the 2013 report from the Georgia Council on Criminal Justice Reform. Building on the success of the criminal-justice reform passed in the 2012 and 2013 sessions, the council primarily focused on potential reforms to help rehabilitated offenders re-enter society.

The lockdown at Richmond Hill High School was called off around 1 p.m.
Matter of record - An officer was dispatched to the Jukebox on Highway 17 around 2 a.m. Sunday "in reference to an injured person," a report said.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Liberty, Long, Bryan, Wayne, Chatham countikes and most of eastern Georgia until 6 p.m. today.
ATLANTA - On Thursday, the Southeast Georgia Child Exploitation Task Force, an interagency law-enforcement operation that focuses on child-exploitation activities in the area and is led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, made several arrests in and around Savannah, according to FBI Atlanta Field Office Special Agent in Charge J. Britt Johnson.
Throughout October, the Bryan County Emergency Services, in a collaborative effort with its community partners, focused on fire-safety education in the schools, churches and the community.
