A man was shot around 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the Suites at Station Exchange parking lot in Richmond Hill when he reportedly tried to thwart a vehicle break-in, according to Richmond Hill Police Department Chief Billy Reynolds Sr. The victim, who apparently had been trying to stop someone from burglarizing his pickup, is an employee of the Suites at Station Exchange, which is a residential community for senior citizens. He was airlifted to Memorial Health University Medical Center, and his condition is unknown.
