Bryan County Elementary School is back in session after being evacuated for about 35 minutes due to a possible explosive found nearby.
The Heritage Bank on Butler Avenue in Midway was robbed around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, according to Special Agent Stephen Emmett with the Atlanta Division of the FBI. The FBI is handling the investigation.
A fire extinguisher demonstration, visit from Ronald McDonald, helicopter landings, games for kids and refreshments will all be part of Public Safety Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday in the parking lot of Publix on Hwy. 144 south of Richmond Hill.

SAVANNAH - Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are investigating an accident that shut down Highway 17 northbound at Highway 204 for more than two hours Thursday morning and injured a Midway man.
