Wildcats performance nothing short of inspired
Even in a loss, Richmond Hill High School's football team made a statement. They proved their season was no fluke of an easy schedule. They showed they can compete with anyone.

Though the Wildcats playoff fortunes are still up in the air, one coach who believes Richmond Hill High School could make some noise if they get in is Bradwell Institute coach Jim Walsh Jr.

I was talking to some guy about football the other day and the topic turned to great running backs. I said Adrian Peterson was one of the best I'd ever seen and he agreed, but then I said "too bad he never made it big in the NFL" and this other guy said "What? Richmond Hill High School is unbeaten and running roughshod over opponents, but the Wildcats may be finding respect outside the Coastal Empire doesn't come easy. Melvin the Bulldog fan
While at the Bryan County High School football game on Friday night -- and I'll try to get more online about that 19-0 contest by the end of the weekend -- I ran into BCHS grad Simon Murphy, a nice guy who was at the concession stand with kids Melvin, Aidan and Alyssa while mom Katrina was helping serve concessions.
