Schools to be open

Bryan County schools will be open tomorrow, though in an emailed statement superintendent Dr. Paul Brooksher said staff members will check roads at 4 a.m. and if icy roads make it necessary to close schools a notice will be posted on school and district websites and sent through the school notification system.

Commissioners vote to put Sunday alcohol sales on ballot

Bryan County commissioners voted 3-2 at Tuesday's Board of Commissioners meeting to put Sunday alcohol sales on the ballot in November. Commissioners Jimmy Henderson and Carter Infinger voted against the measure, which if passed will allow alcohol sales on Sunday in the unincorporated part of Bryan County.
