New turn lane in the works for Highway 144 at 17

Richmond Hill city council members learned Tuesday night the DOT has approved adding a right-turn-only lane to Highway 144 West where it intersects with Highway 17 North. The new turn-only lane, which will be created by shrinking the width of current lanes, will be 600 feet long and stack 25 cars, according to city officials.
