Teen driving course aims to save lives

Before teens are handed the keys, it is important for parents to make sure their children have learned the necessary skills to help them be responsible drivers. With this in mind, the Coastal Health District and Pembroke Police Department have announced they will be offering parents and teens a free course in driver safety on Thursday, Nov. 1.

The Tour of Homes is back

The Annual Richmond Hill Tour of Homes will be on Dec. 2, from 1-5 p.m. The self-guided tour features five private homes, the Historical Society Museum and two historic churches. Chairperson Teresa Timmons has recently released the first home in the tour. The tour is the culminating event for the weekend-long hometown celebration that begins with a chili cook-off Friday night, Nov. 30, and the Christmas parade on Saturday, Dec. 1.
