Bryan County splits with portal in basketball action
Bryan County hosted the Portal Panthers on Tuesday in roundball action that saw the Lady 'Skins move to 2-0 with a 69-33 win. The Portal boys took the nightcap game with a 69-49 victory.
Lady Redskins down Effingham County in hoops opener
Bryan County High School played host to Effingham County in a non-region basketball doubleheader Saturday in Pembroke. The Lady Redskins won the opener 54-40 behind Olivia Melvin's 22 points.

Metter downs BCHS
The Bryan County High Redskins(0-6) made their way into Candler County on Friday night to take on the Metter Tigers at Metter High school. It was Homecoming for Metter and the Tigers had reason to celebrate as they turned a close first half game into a 33-6 rout.
Lady Redskins finish No. 2 in Region 3A
The Bryan County high school Lady 'Skins softball team traveled to Dublin on Tuesday for the championship round of the Region 3A tournament and squeezed out a 1-0 win in the first game against the Truetlen County Vikings. The two teams carried a 0-0 score through the fifth inning before Bryan County scored to advance to the championship game.
Lady Redskins cruise in Region 3A tourney opener
The first round of the Region 3A playoffs got off to a stellar start for top-seeded Bryan County High School. The Lady Redskins (23-6) swept No. 4 seed Montgomery County Eagles (10-13) on Thursday.

It was more like baseball weather in Pembroke on Tuesday, March 30 when the Claxton Tigers (7-8, 2-5) came to town for a region clash with the Bryan County High baseball boys (3-9, 2-6). Claxton went back home seven innings later with a 10-4 loss tagging along.
Savannah Christian blanks Redskins
After two straight rainouts, the Bryan County High baseball team finally caught a break in the weather on Monday and played a makeup game against familiar region foe Savannah Christian.
Redskin golfers look to compete in Region 3A
The Bryan County High golf team has been practicing and gearing up for their 2010 season at their home course at Black Creek Golf Club. They have been working hard and are ready to hit the busy stretch of the golf schedule.
Redskins beat Groves, Montgomery in tourney
The BCHS baseball team (2-5, 0-2) traveled to Claxton Friday night for a region tilt with the Tigers of Claxton High. Fans saw a nail biting pitcher's duel before the host Tigers pulled out a 3-1 win over the visiting Redskins. However, the 'Skins broke their losing streak the following day with two non-region wins.
