Lady Redskins nearing halfway point of season

With the completion of this week's games, the BCHS Ladyskins are fast on their way to reaching the midway point of their season. With a region record of 2-3, the Ladyskins have their work cut out for them for the rest of the season.

Lady Redskins stay hot

The Lady Redskin softball team have continued their hot streak this past week by sweeeping Claxton 8-0 at home Thursday before splitting victories at a tough statewide tournament this weekend.

Lady Redskins squeak out win over Lady Wildcats

The Richmond Hill High School Lady Wildcats made the trek to Pembroke Thursday afternoon to face the Bryan County High School Lady Redskins in the annual cross-county softball game. The Skins beat the Cats in a close 3-2 contest.

Lady Redskins open season with sweep

The beginning of a new school year also marks the beginning of the fall softball season for many returning athletes. The Ladyskins, having lost only two seniors last year, start this new season with an already established team.

Collins wins Erik Edenfield scholarship

  1. Alkeem Collins, a 2007 graduate of Bryan County High School, was presented recently with the Erik Edenfield Scholarship. This scholarship is presented to the BCHS Most Valuable Player in the amount of $250.00. The scholarship, given by Savage, Turner, Pinson & Karsman of Savannah, is presented in honor of Erik Edenfield, son of Barbara Edenfield who works as a paralegal at the firm for R. Bart Turner. Summer means softball for BCHS

The Ladyskins Softball summer league team have been playing rather consistently through the month of June. Coach Kim Covington, who is also the regular season head coach, likes what she has seen thus far.

Lady Redskins finish in top 10

The Bryan County High School ladies golf team, along with their coach Ron Lewis, made the long journey to Columbus for the Class A State Golf tournament on Monday where they took tenth place.

Turner County downs Redskins

The Bryan County Redskins baseball team traveled to Turner County Friday for Region 3A State Competition. The Redskins had to play hometown team Turner County in a best of three series that would determine which would advance into the next series of play. The first game was held Friday afternoon. The Redskins had a total of eleven hits but that would not be enough as Turner took the 9-6 win. Redskins earn trip to state

It is official, the Bryan County High School Redskin Baseball team is going to state playoffs. With the 7-6 win against the Jenkins County Eagles Friday night the Redskins secured their spot in the state playoffs to begin May 11 in Turner County.

Bryan County golf teams state bound

Both the BCHS boys and girls golf teams advanced into state competition Tuesday after the region tournament in Black Creek. Visiting Region 3-A opponents included Calvary Day and Claxton. The top two finishing teams in the tournament qualified to continue on to state competition.

Redskins get closer to playoffs

The Bryan County Redskins Baseball team is a team on fire right now and whispers of a team that might take us farther than Redskin baseball has gone in a long while can be heard among loyal fans and the Redskins themselves. Lanier Primary School was the site of the annual Miss BCHS Beauty Pageant Saturday night. Age divisions ranged from Tiny Miss to Miss BCHS and all age groups were represented by beautiful young ladies that competed in both the formal and casual wear categories.
