Nov.6: Richmond Hill Historical Society Lecture - The Richmond Hill Historical Society will kick off the commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the siege of Fort McAllister with its November lecture. A historic interpreter will take guests through the details of the final assault of Fort McAllister, "Guardian of Savannah," which allowed General Sherman to resupply his troops and take Savannah in 1864. Guests are invited to the barracks at Fort McAllister at 7 p.m. for a cup of cider and the fireside program. Cost is free for members and $5 for non-members.
