Theft by taking
Dec. 1 –
A man reported around 1:40 p.m. that someone stole magnetic signs off of his truck, which was parked in front of his home on Raynor Drive in the Sterling Creek subdivision.

The following are on file in the Bryan County Sherriff’s Department:

Obstruction of officers
Dec. 2 –
A Richmond Hill man was arrested around 5:20 p.m. at his home in Richmond Hill and charged with obstruction of officers. The man lunged at a deputy “in an aggressive manner” after two deputies tried to serve the man with a temporary protective order.

Possession of cocaine
Dec. 2 –
An Ellabell man was arrested around 11:30 p.m. on Hwy. 204 in Ellabell and charged with possession of cocaine and DUI. The man was pulled over for swerving and let deputies search his vehicle, where they found several clear plastic bags lined with white residue. 

Aggravated assault
Dec. 3
– An Ellabell woman reported around 8:15 p.m. that someone had shot her house. When deputies arrived, they discovered that someone had fired a gun from a car at the woman’s house and the bullet traveled through the exterior wall, an interior wall and a plastic tub of Christmas decorations before stopping in another interior wall.

Theft by taking
Dec. 4 −
A Richmond Hill man reported around 11:30 a.m. that someone stole his mail box and post, worth $100, from his property sometime between 3 p.m. the day before and the time the incident was reported.
Dec. 3 – An Ellabell man reported around 1 p.m. that someone stole an air conditioning and heat pump, worth $3,000, from a Countryside Drive home the man was about to buy.
Dec. 5 – A Richmond Hill man reported around 9 a.m. that someone broke into his locked car, which was parked in front of his home on Holly Hill Drive, and took a speaker worth $150 and a gun worth $1,500.
