1. What do you feel is your greatest achievement? Living a productive life and, along with my husband, raising two wonderful children who have turned into fine, moral, and productive adults.

2. What, to you, is perfect happiness?
A rainy afternoon with nothing that I have to do so I can spend it reading a book and being with family.

3. What one material possession would you save in the event of a fire (assuming your family was safe)?  Okay, family includes the dog and cats, right? I’d save my purse. Like many women, I carry just about everything in it!

4. What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?  Not to be afraid of making mistakes.

5. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?  I would be more energetic and get much more done.

6. What is your greatest fear?  Snakes! No, really, I think I should leave this question alone...

7. What real or fictional person do you most identify with?  The mother in the children’s book “No, David” by David Shannon. The mother has to say “no” to her son all day long as he gets into trouble. Then at the end of the book she says “Yes, David, I love you.” I don’t like having to tell anyone, especially my children, “no” (even now that they are grown) and I really enjoy the fact that, even after saying no all day, the mom is able to tell her son that she loves him. We may not like everything someone we are close to does, but we can still love them.

8. What is your greatest extravagance? Buying books for my home library.

9. If money weren’t an object, how would you spend your time? Reading, spending time with family, and volunteering.

10. What is your favorite thing about yourself? I don’t give up easily.

11. What trait do you most admire in another person?
Kindness.

12. What trait do you most deplore in another person?
Cruelty.

13. Who are your favorite musicians?  Jimmy Buffett, Celtic Woman, Harry Connick, Jr., Beach Boys

14. What are your favorite books?  “Exodus” by Leon Uris; “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austen; “All the Queen’s Men” by Linda Howard; “Consent to Kill” by Vince Flynn; “Starship Troopers” by Robert Heinlein. I could go on and on and on...

15. What talent would you most like to have?  The talent to pick up other languages easily. I’d love to be able to read, write, and speak other languages, especially Hebrew.
