There were no surprises Monday when Pembroke officials adopted a millage rate of 8.359 at a called meeting.
It’s the third straight year without a tax increase for Pembroke residents, as officials work on completing a fiscal year 2011 budget which is expected to be about $1.5 million.
That’s less than the 2010 budget of $1.6 million. Still, officials are adding $1 to garbage pickup to help make up some of the shortfall.
City officials also held a budget workshop Monday
