The Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum in Pooler will offer a free model airplane building classes Saturday, Aug. 28, for children, and free admission for them when they buy a model airplane. World War II model airplanes are on sale in the museum gift store for $12. Model airplanes from the museum’s archive collection also will be on display.
The classes are at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Spaces are limited. To reserve a spot, call 912-748-8888 or e-mail education@mightyeighth.org.
The museum is at 175 Bourne Ave. in Pooler, off I-95 at exit 102. The Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum is open daily from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. except for Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
