Richmond Hill developer Wayne Jackson said he and his partners are moving forward with plans to create a bowling alley next to his Jackson Court project on Hwy. 17. He said the bowling complex will most likely include a movie theater.

Jackson also gave an update on Jackson Court, which was originally slated to open this month. Due to rain delays and back-ordered equipment, he said he is looking at the end of May for the grand opening. The $6 million, 16,000 square foot, kid-themed Jackson Court project is slated to include a laser tag facility, a "Jump-n-Jacks" play area with a variety of rides, over 50 arcade games and a two-lane bowling alley.

Jackson said his partners Johnny and Joey Carnes already own the land next to Jackson Court and they had been contemplating bringing someone in to create a bowling alley. He said they recently decided to go about it themselves.

The trio is flying to Chicago next month to meet with company representatives from U.S. Bowling, who they plan to work with on this project. Jackson said they already have an architect working on the project.
