The City of Pembroke’s shop was broken into early Sunday morning and a city truck was stolen.

Investigator Donnie Crosby with the Pembroke Police Department said a white Ford F-150 truck with a service bed on it was taken from the city shop Sunday morning. Inside the truck was a sewer camera valued at an estimated $60,000.

"They took the gates off and drove right over them," Crosby said. "We’re not sure yet what all they stole."

Crosby said they don’t have any suspects yet but think Sunday’s burglary is linked to two others at the shop this year.

According to Crosby, a truck was stolen and four other vehicles were broken into at McFadden Apartments. He said the truck was recovered later Monday unoccupied and he suspects the incidents there and at the city are related.

Sergeant Bill Gray with the Pembroke Police Department said a reward is being offered for any information leading to the arrest and conviction to the person or persons responsible for the robbery. He said information right now is sparce.

"We’re working on it now and leads are taking us to different places," he said. "The information is very limited right now."

If you have any information, contact the Pembroke Police Department at 912-653-4414.
